Become a member of AFT 2375, RVCC Faculty Federation

All Full Time and Adjunct Faculty at RVCC are invited to join the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local #2375. The union advocates for better pay, better working conditions and better quality of life on campus for members and nonmembers. We also protect the rights of our faculty, advocate for a quality, affordable and accessible education for our students, and work with state and national colleagues to protect and advance the interests of public employees and labor unions.

If you follow the news, you realize that it is a difficult time to be a public employee in New Jersey (and indeed, across the country) right now, and we need the support of all our colleagues to fairly represent our interests at the state, county and local level. Currently RVCC’s fulltime Federation membership is close to 100%, and our adjunct membership is about 25% of those eligible to join.  Membership of 100% all around would send a clear message of unity and solidarity.  With full-time faculty dues at .06 of 1% of salary, and adjunct faculty dues at 1/4 of 1% of salary, the cost is not high, but the advantages many.
