May Day Rally for worker and immigrant rights

In recognition of May Day—a global day honoring workers’ rights and social justice—the Faculty Federation sponsored a May Day Rally for worker and immigrant rights, that took place in the RVCC Courtyard on May 1^st at 1:00 pm. As the lead organizer and moderator, History Professor Carl Lindskoog led the crowd in call-and-response between speaker, building a contagious energy amplified their message and brought everyone together in a shared sense of purpose. Faculty, staff, students, and the public attended and participated; it was a powerful demonstration of solidarity and civic engagement in action. The rally provided an opportunity to reflect on issues that affect education, labor, and our communities and the collective strength that has shaped and continues to protect our profession.
