November 2019 Update on Full-Time Negotiations

Working without a contract since July 1, 2019 – It’s time for the Board of Trustees to do the right thing.

After ten months of negotiating, the Faculty at RVCC still don’t have a contract. When negotiations started in February, the college appeared to be having financial difficulties. 

Fast forward a few months and the college’s financial situation has changed dramatically, yet they still refuse to fund a fair contract. The faculty will again make a case for a fair contract and address the college’s finances at the next Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday, November 12th at 5:15 pm in the Atrium at RVCC. The facts will show that the college has adequate funds to give the Faculty a fair and fiscally responsible contract.
